talk about how to calculate the weight of reinforcement bar. Before calculating
the weight of the bars, you need to know what the reinforcement bar is. Rebar are
used for help concrete withstand tension forces. Concrete is sufficiently
strong to compression forces by nature, but tension forces can crack it.
Let us derive the
weight of the bar.
Since the formula to
be derived is d2/162.162
Assumed cross section is circular and the
material is cylinder.
Weight density of steel = 7850 kg/m3.
You can use the scientific calculator to find the correct figure. but usually we use d2/162 to calculate the weight.
